Tell us about yourself and your company?
I was a makeup artist trainer, training and coaching professional student to a regular backstage makeup artist for several fashion shows, fashion shoots and beauty pageants. By God’s grace, CL Makeup Artistry (Enhancing Your God Given Beauty) was established, specialised in wedding makeup and hairstyling.

When did you realize you wanted to become a Professional Makeup Artist?
It started when I first attended a makeover. I am amazed how a person would look gorgeous after makeover. Then "Makeup" spoke to me. My passion to educate woman about the importance of makeover came. I found a makeup course and the rest was history...

What are some of your greatest challenges in your business?
When it comes to having a career as a makeup artist, most people would think that it is as simple as putting colours on face and earning big buck of money. However, having a consistent face to paint is another challenge. Furthermore, the first stumbling block of a makeup artist is finding his/her niche in the industry since there are various type of career as a makeup artists from film, tv, bridal etc.  It takes a while to discover your strength and establish a solid network in this industry.

What are some of your accomplishments as a Professional Makeup Artist?
Working with local celebrities and models and beauty pageants has given me a new perspective and experience in makeup industry. And of course, receiving clients’ satisfaction is my motivation to go forward.

Describe your version of Bridal Makeup?
I love natural, simple makeup yet classic which bring out the elegance on a bride. Bridal make-up should look like the best version of yourself, so that you feel comfortable yet confident. Beautiful makeup starts from beautiful skin as it portrays a good canvas to work with. Hence I always advice my clients to have a good skin care programme to work on before their big day. Airbrush makeup would be the perfect coverage yet it looks as natural flawless and lightweight makeup. I think all the elements of the look should work together, so eyes are defined, brows are groomed, skin looks radiant and glowing, lashes are long and fluttery, and cheeks and lips look kissable and glamorous!
